Support muti-core iPhone 3.0?

One of the more interesting rumors of Macworld Expo in 2009 concerns a mysterious firmware 3.0 for iPhone, which includes support for quad-core processors. Currently, the mobile phone and Apple’s iPod touch have a chip that came to power almost equal to that of Sony’s PlayStation Portable. The adoption of a quad-core processor, then, would be in the case of Cupertino a nice advantage affollato market for portable games console.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES), Imagination Technologies will present today a quad-core processor and Apple recently acquired a number of shares of Imagination.

Since Apple hardly invests its money in shares of other companies, especially small as Imagination, many believe that this was a strategic move for new processors before Sony and other competitors.
